New UKFST Fees

The UK Forum for Stroke Training (UKFST) has now officially been incorporated into the UK Stroke Forum. To support the important work of this training arm, and to ensure as many training providers as possible can benefit from UKFST endorsement, UKSF (hosted by the Stroke Association) has developed a new fee structure for endorsements.

It has been widely recognised that developing stroke-specific courses in line with the SSEF greatly benefits training providers, stroke professionals and patients. Can you help UK Stroke Forum?

The UK Stroke Forum conference, hosted by The Stroke Association, is the largest annual UK Stroke Conference of the year. They are looking for Service Users to help plan the content of the conference programme.

  • Do you have experience of stroke, as a stroke survivor, carer or family member/friend of a stroke survivor?
  • Do you have previous experience of working with committees?
  • Would you be able to identify areas where the involvement of service users would enhance the UK Stroke Forum programme?

Job Role Profiles

You can now access job role profiles for a number of professions within the Stroke Career Pathway.

Role profiles will aid the development of stroke-specific education and training by detailing the level of knowledge, skills and experience required for each profession, allied to the Elements of Care as defined in the Stroke-Specific Education Framework, enabling submission for UKFST Endorsement.

They will also help staff identify the knowledge and skills that they should posses given their current role and also the knowledge and skills that they would need if they want to progress.

Endorse Your Conference with UKFST

You can now apply to endorse your conferences or symposia with UKFST—
any event which has specified learning outcomes is eligible for endorsement.
Endorsing your conference means it will feature within the UKFST newsletter
and on the searchable database—guaranteed to boost attendance rates!
Further guidance specific to applications for these types of events can be
found on the UKFST website.

UKFST Discount - Update

1st February 2011

The 15% Discount on applications for endorsement received between 24 January and 7 March 2011 can now be used in more ways.  Originally offering you a discount on UKSF Conference 2011 delegate fees only, discounts earned can now also be used against an exhibitor stand or exhibitor pass.  For more information read our revised Discount Terms and Conditions here.
